Cheese Curd Pizza Recipe

  • Pizza dough
  • ¾ to 1lb of cheese curd
  • Pizza sauce (or jar spaghetti sauce with a sprinkle of pizza spice)
  • Your favorite toppings – pepperoni, mushrooms, sweet peppers, onions, sausage, the list is almost endless)

Do you have a bread machine in the depths of your cupboard that you never use? This is what I do. I throw in the ingredients for pizza dough per my bread machine booklet (water, olive oil, flour, sugar(activates the yeast), salt, and yeast), turn it on quick dough cycle, and voila, in 45 minutes, I have a large ball of fresh pizza dough. It makes enough for two smaller pizza pans, or 1 VERY large pizza pan.

Prepare the pan:

Prepare the dough

Using small amount of flour, spread the dough into the pan by pressing it out to the edges. Remember, it doesn’t have to be very thick.

Add Sauce

Spread thin layer of sauce over dough. I use marinara sauce and keep dried pizza seasoning on hand and sprinkle a very small amount of seasoning on top of the sauce.

Add cheese

As you can imagine, we LOVE cheese! I use a whole pound of cheese curd, I quickly break apart or cut up the large pieces and evenly scatter around on top of the sauce.

Add toppings

Add whatever toppings turn you on. The choices are endless.


Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven on the bottom shelf. My oven takes only about 25 minutes, and the cheese is nicely browned and the crust slightly crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside.
